Mysore Dosa

    Boiled rice - 400 gm
    Urad dal - 100 gm
    Urad dal ( broken ) - 1/4 cup
    Red chilli - 8
    Asafoetida - a pinch
    Copra ( dried coconut ) - 1/2 cup
    Tamarind extract ( thin ) - 1/2 cup
    Curry leaves - a few
    Salt - as needed
    Oil - as needed



Preparation :


How to make Mysore Dosa :

  • 1. Soak boiled rice, urad dal in water for 4 hours.
    2. Grind to a batter, mix with salt and set aside.
    3. Heat oil in a frying pan.
    4. Add urad dal, red chilli, copra, fry and powder.
    5. Mix powdered masala with tamarind extract, salt, asafoetida, curry leaves and set aside.
    6. Heat a flat frying pan.
    7. Add batter, spread to a circle.
    8. Cook on both sides, dribbling oil.
    9. Spread chutney, fold and serve.
